Lil Tjay is out of custody following his arrest tied to an alleged altercation that took place shortly before Offset was shot in Florida.
He was released Tuesday afternoon by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and walked out to a crowd of reporters. With cameras rolling, he took the opportunity to publicly criticize the Migos artist.
During the moment, Lil Tjay referred to Offset using a derogatory term while also insisting he had no involvement in the shooting. In footage captured by NBC Miami, he appears visibly upset as he exits the facility.
Tjay had been booked on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct affray. His mug shot shows him smiling, and his bond was set at five hundred dollars.
Offset was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life threatening. Video surfaced Tuesday morning showing him outside the hospital smoking, only hours after the incident.
Lil Tjay’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, stated that his arrest is completely unrelated to the shooting.
Police in Seminole reported that Tjay was part of a fight that happened before Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
