Kanye West and Dr. Dre’s collaborative project, Jesus Is King 2, has surfaced in its entirety, adding to the growing list of unreleased material from Kanye’s archives.
The leaked album, consisting of 15 tracks, features a star-studded ensemble, including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Ferg, and Marsha Ambrosius.
Jesus Is King 2 primarily comprises remixed versions of songs from its predecessor, with Dr. Dre providing enhanced makeovers for tracks like “Water,” “Everything We Need,” and “God Is.”
The album also introduces fresh Kanye verses and guest appearances, such as Dr. Dre and Anderson .Paak on “Closed On Sunday,” Travis Scott on “Hands On,” and Eminem on “Use This Gospel,” a track recognizable from DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID.”
Among the newly introduced tracks are “This is the Glory” featuring Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, “Blood of the Lamb” with Pusha T, “L.A. Monster” featuring A$AP Ferg, and “Our King” with contributions from Dre and 2 Chainz.
In November 2019, Kanye West made the initial announcement of “Jesus Is King 2,” just after releasing the original album. The news of his collaboration with Dr. Dre stirred considerable anticipation among his fans. Additionally, in the same year, he dropped “Jesus Is Born,” a project distributed through Vydia.
The leak follows the earlier emergence of another unreleased Kanye West album, Donda: With Child, which featured a mix of reworked Donda tracks and previously unreleased material, along with guest appearances from artists like Travis Scott, Pusha T, Big Sean, James Blake, and Sheck Wes.
For those who prefer to avoid leaks, Kanye is reportedly in the process of creating his 11th studio album, described as a blend of The College Dropout and The Life of Pablo, with an impressive lineup of collaborators. Additionally, the album has been reported to contain controversial mentions of Jewish individuals, though not of an antisemitic nature.
Kanye West recently debuted a new song at the Mowalola Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show in London, where he referenced luminaries like Frank Ocean, Solange, and celebrity jeweler Johnny Dang, showcasing his continued creativity and lyrical prowess.
